Lockdown Choc Cake

  • 1 x stick blender
  • 1 x food blender (not a cake mixer)
  • 1 x 7in cake tin / dish.


  • 350g double chocolate cookies (3 cups)
  • 370 ml warm milk (1.5 cups)
  • 2.5 teaspoons of baking powder. (raising agent)

For 3 decorations:

  • Nutella / choc chips/ cocoa powder.

METHOD 3 STAGES (1.Mixing 2.baking 3.decorating)

Blitz the cookies in the food blender to a fine powder (there may still be lumps in the powder do not worry)

Sieve in baking powder (raising agent)

Stir in the warm milk and fold until all ingredients are combined then blend with stick blender until smooth

Place into the cake tin /dish and level off

Put into a pre-heated oven set at 170c or 350f and bake for 16 minutes

(do not overbake this cake)

Leave to cool for a few minutes before turning out onto a cooling tray.

Decorate with nutella and chocolate chips /cocoa powder.
